Arx Finance LLC’s services are subject to strict anti–money laundering (AML), counter–terrorist financing (CTF), and sanctions requirements. In addition to our own internal risk appetite, we must also comply with expectations and requirements from:
international standard setters (e.g., FATF),
U.S. and foreign regulators and law enforcement agencies,
banking and payment partners, and
compliance and technology vendors.
As a result, certain jurisdictions are prohibited, and others are treated as high risk and may be subject to enhanced due diligence or outright restriction.
This page is intended to provide transparency regarding how Arx Finance LLC treats jurisdictional risk. It is incorporated by reference into our Terms & Conditions and may be updated from time to time.
1. Dynamic, Risk-Based Approach
Arx Finance LLC maintains a risk-based jurisdiction framework that takes into account, among other factors:
the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) lists of jurisdictions under increased monitoring (“grey list”) and jurisdictions subject to a call for action (“black list”);
sanctions regimes and lists applicable to Arx Finance LLC and its partners;
public information and regulatory guidance regarding AML/CTF risk and financial crime; and
risk appetites and requirements expressed by our banking partners, compliance vendors, and other service providers.
Because these inputs can change, our lists of Prohibited and High-Risk jurisdictions can and will be amended from time to time. Arx Finance LLC may add or remove jurisdictions based on changes in:
FATF or sanctions designations,
local and international regulatory developments, or
specific instructions from banks, regulators, or vendors.
The fact that a jurisdiction does not appear on this page does not guarantee that Arx Finance LLC will accept customers or transactions from that jurisdiction. Arx Finance LLC always reserves the right to decline or terminate relationships on a risk basis.
2. Prohibited Jurisdictions
Customers located in, resident in, organized under the laws of, or otherwise subject to the jurisdiction of certain countries cannot use Arx Finance LLC’s Services.
At this time, based primarily on the FATF “black list” (jurisdictions subject to a call for action), Arx Finance LLC does not provide Services to individuals or entities associated with the following:
Islamic Republic of Iran
Myanmar
North Korea (Democratic People’s Republic of Korea)
Arx Finance LLC will treat as prohibited:
natural persons who are citizens or residents of these jurisdictions (unless clearly exempt under applicable law),
legal entities formed, registered, or effectively managed in these jurisdictions, and
transactions that directly or indirectly involve these jurisdictions, including where there are indications of attempts to disguise such involvement.
In addition, Arx Finance LLC may treat other jurisdictions as effectively prohibited where required by sanctions law, where mandated by our banking partners or vendors, or where we determine that the risk is incompatible with our business model.
3. High-Risk Jurisdictions (Enhanced Due Diligence)
Separate from outright prohibited jurisdictions, Arx Finance LLC recognizes that some countries present elevated AML/CTF risk. Many of these appear on the FATF “grey list” (jurisdictions under increased monitoring).
Customers and transactions involving these jurisdictions may be subject to:
Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD),
higher levels of documentation and verification,
additional approvals, and
ongoing heightened monitoring.
Based on currently available information, the following jurisdictions are classified by Arx Finance LLC as High-Risk:
Algeria
Angola
Bolivia
Bulgaria
Cameroon
Côte d’Ivoire
Democratic Republic of Congo
Haiti
Kenya
Lao People’s Democratic Republic
Lebanon
Monaco
Namibia
Nepal
Republic of Yemen
South Sudan
Syrian Arab Republic
U.S. Virgin Islands
Vietnam
For customers connected to any High-Risk jurisdiction:
Arx Finance LLC may request additional information and documentation, including detailed source-of-funds and source-of-wealth information;
Arx Finance LLC may delay or decline onboarding or individual transactions pending completion of EDD; and
based on the results of our review, or in line with instructions from our banking partners or vendors, Arx Finance LLC may refuse to provide Services, either initially or at a later time.
High-Risk classification does not guarantee acceptance. It simply means that any relationship is subject to higher scrutiny and may be limited or refused at Arx Finance LLC’s sole discretion.
4. Updates and No Guarantee of Service
This page is informational and may not always reflect real-time changes in global risk assessments, sanctions, or partner requirements. Arx Finance LLC may:
update, expand, or narrow the lists of Prohibited and High-Risk jurisdictions at any time;
apply interim restrictions before this page is formally updated; and
decline or terminate a relationship even if a jurisdiction is not currently listed here.
Nothing on this page should be interpreted as:
a commitment by Arx Finance LLC to provide Services in any particular country; or
a representation that Arx Finance LLC is licensed or authorized to provide Services in every jurisdiction from which the Site may be accessed.
Your ability to use Arx Finance LLC’s Services will always depend on a case-by-case assessment, including jurisdiction, business profile, KYC/AML results, and our relationships with banking partners and vendors.
